    Lag and other issues? Find out how to help us on this section

    Dear users,

    Lag, connection issues, most people do not have it, but sadly some do.
    To be able to investigate those problems and see what's causing it we need some details other then "i got lag".
    Details we need are the following:

    To help us getting a better overview of the problem, we need the following information from you:
    - Your player name
    - Your browser type (including version number and addons)
    - date the problem has been detected
    - Time the problem has been detected
    - gameworld which the can't connect/have long response times etc. (travians in this case)
    - player location (your country)
    - type of internet access (modem, isdn, dsl, cable, sattelite, ...)
    - tracert report

    Without tracert/mtr reports we can't do anything to resolve this problem. The other information is not necessary but very useful.
    Tracert is shipped with windows, mtr can be downloaded from http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/.

    * Using tracert
    Tracert is a command line tool which must be run inside the command shell. To launch the command shell,
    press Start -> run, enter 'cmd' (without the ') and press "OK",
    type 'tracert travians.com' (without the ' or other server), press "OK" and wait until the program has finished.
    Right click into the command shell to open the menu to select, copy&paste text.

    * Using mtr
    Download winmtr from the location above or use this direct link: http://winmtr.net/download-winmtr/
    The zip archive contains only 2 files, one is an executable.
    Start winmtr, enter "travians.com" (or other server) into the "Host" field and click start. The test can be stopped after 1000 packets have been send.
    Click "Export Text co clipboard" and past it into your reply email to us.

    Dear users,

    Even though its an old post, the info still is more then valuable.
    Keep sending those tracert's each time you are having these lags. We'll try to feedback them as soon as possible.
